What is Reverse Osmosis? Reverse osmosis is a “back-flushing" action that forces fluids through the membrane around the cells, cleaning out all impurities (Lipofuscin) and leaving behind a clean, white substance. Lipofuscin is a free radical substance, created by sun damage or other trauma to the skin.

Enzyme Therapy treatments improve the skin’s ability to function by dissolving dead cells and impurities trapped within the skin. This in turn restores vital cellular nutrition and oxygenation, required for cellular regeneration.

We use three enzyme formulas for the face. Pre-treatment Instructions:
Avoid 7 days prior:

• Any retinol, Tretinoin, exfoliates, topical acids (ie: AHAs, BHAs, Mandelic)

• Waxing, electrolysis or laser hair removal, chemical hair removal creams

  Contraindications: Pregnancy, skin cancer within 3 years, use of Accutane within 8 months, cosmetic surgery not yet healed, active infection, inflammatory dermatosis

Post-treatment Instructions:

• Avoid non mineral based makeup products until skin is healed

• Avoid all AHAs, BHAs, and retinols for 7 days

• Avoid waxing, hair removal, sunbeds, swimming and saunas for 7 days

• Keep the skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer.

What is microcurrent? 

It is small electrical pulses that trigger a firming and tightening response to the skin. This stimulation becomes a cumulative effect low level of current to the areas of concern which gives a favorable reaction at the skin’s cellular level, giving skin a vibrant, more youthful appearance.

Microcurrent Benefits: If used correctly, microcurrent is non-invasive, progressive – not aggressive, will help to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, will help to redefine the neck, jowls, cheeks and eye areas. Microcurrent is popular because it helps to sculpt and re-educate your facial muscles!  Adenosine Triphosphate or ATP plays an important part in the process of giving life back to your facial muscles.  Simply put, it is used in cells as a coenzyme, which means it transports energy within the cells. 

This is important because microcurrent, as we know it, is known for its ability to reeducate the muscles of the face and muscles are dependent on ATP for muscle contraction. WHAT IS THE GETGLOWING PEEL? A 45 minute paramedical treatment to stimulate the skins natural renewal process, tailored to fit your skin goals. This treatment encourages the exfoliation of dead skin cells and debris while stimulating the skin's natural renewal process.

HOW DOES THE PEEL TREAT ACNE? Through exfoliation and the stimulation of cell division in the basal epidermis cells, the treatment unplugs blocked pores and allows elimination of blackheads and closed comedones. These are the precursors of eruptive acne. In addition, skin oiliness which predisposes the skin to acne, is reduced. Peeling treatments can permanently control acne. Acne patients who benefit from this treatment (consult with our acne skincare specialists) should use this peel as part of their acne clearing program.

WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE? The procedure assists in smoothing fine lines and evening out skin discoloration. It improves skin texture and reduces the appearance of acne scars and environmental damage to the skin. A peel does not eliminate sagging or excess skin. A series of 4-6 peels may be recommended.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not have a peel if you are pregnant or breast feeding, on Accutane or contraindicated antibiotics, sun exposure 2 weeks prior or 4 weeks post treatment, using a sun bed, going through chemotherapy or radiation, or have an autoimmune disease.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR TREATMENT? For one week following the procedure the skin will undergo a renewal process. Depending on the skin, clients may or may not experience peeling. If peeling occurs, it usually begins four to five days following the treatment and lasts for approximately three days.

PRE AND POST TREATMENT:

PRETREATMENT - Stop using actives (retinol, mandelic, skin brightner,..) 5-7 days pretreatment.

POST TREATMENT

• It is preferable not to cleanse, or apply makeup or any creams to your skin until the morning after your peel. Lightly moisturize the first 48 hours, even though your skin may seem dry. The object is to peel. Peeling is also happening at a cellular level.

• No exfoliation for 5 days post treatment, then you can resume with gentle exfoliation. Do not pick, scratch or scrub at the skin as it is peeling/healing.

• Avoid swimming 7-10 days post peel and any environments that cause sweating. Strenuous exercise must be avoided for a minimum of 3 days.

• Always use your sunblock. :)

An exciting treatment for removal of those annoying minor skin irregularities, WITHOUT the use of Painful and Expensive Lasers. The SKIN CLASSIC uses high frequency technology for the rapid treatment of minor skin irregularities such as broken capillaries, cherry angeomas, fibromas, skin tags, flat hyperpigmentation, milia, clogged pores, acne pimples, and sebaceous hyperplasia. Skin Classic treatments are quick and may not even touch the surface of the skin. Small skin tags or blood spots disappear immediately and hyperpigmented areas such as "liver" spots take only a few seconds. Usually only one treatment is needed for most treatable irregularities, however some may take multiple sessions. It is dependent on how long it has been there and how deep it is. There is minimal discomfort and healing time is short.

Specific aftercare will be discussed during your consultation, but generally a mild cleanser twice a day followed by SPF is recommended. Several days after treatment, mild redness and/or a "crust" will form over the treated spot due to the dessication. Depending on which irregularity is treated, it may take 7-14 days to fall off, and 30 days to heal completely. Moisturizer and antibiotic ointment can be used to speed healing, and concealer can be used after 24 hours. The Skin Classic treatment is a process and since it's non-invasive, it will take time for the results to fully develop. Any irregularities where a follow up appointment is needed should be scheduled for 4-6 weeks later.
